The world is run on money.
But most young people are never taught how it works.
A significant portion of the global population still lacks basic financial education, leading to poor decisions and increased debt. More than half say they wish someone had taught them about money earlier. Only 6% of young people are encouraged by their parents to invest, and one in three don’t even know where to begin.
Yet awareness is growing across all age groups. People want to understand the systems shaping both the future and the present. Nearly half of young adults already view investing as a normal way to manage their finances. Instead of memorizing formulas they’ll never use, 61% believe investing should be taught in schools.

A new money story at people’s fingertips
At the Pyszko Foundation, we believe financial literacy is a human right. Through Krystyna’s experiences visiting schools and speaking with students and families around the world, we’ve seen it firsthand: money isn’t just about wealth. It’s also about freedom and safety. For children, their parents, and their grandparents alike
That’s why we’re creating Money Monsters — an interactive journey into the world of finance, designed for every generation. This is where financial literacy comes to life: led by playful, animated monsters who guide users through engaging lessons on saving, budgeting, investing, and avoiding scams.
With support from the Czech National Bank and deep insights from focus groups, the app is being built to be both credible and captivating. And it’s not a lecture. It’s an experience, shaped around how human minds learn best: through games, videos, quizzes, real-life stories, and guided paths tailored to each learner’s level.
An app for all. A chance for all
While Money Monsters was created with young people in mind, it’s for anyone who wants a fresh start with money — whether you’re 14 or 40.
Each user begins with a short, smart questionnaire that guides them to the right learning path. And through clever gamification, the experience transforms how people feel about money: turning fear or confusion into clarity and confidence.
