An ecological paradise on Earth

Placed in the northern side of Borneo, Sabah is famous for its stunning beaches, breathtaking rainforest, coral reefs and abundant wildlife. But like many coastal landscapes, it needed a little help. Armed with gloves, bags, and purpose, Krystyna joined locals to collect almost 500 kilograms of waste from the Dalit Beach. But the message was clear beyond the numbers: paradise isn’t maintained by chance.

The beach will be cleaned continually.

Inspired by this collaborative effort, Sabah’s government committed to continuing the beach clean-up every single week. Creating a sustainable tradition that will keep Sabah’s coastlines clean, protect marine life, and hopefully spark similar action elsewhere– Sabah’s beaches became a symbol of environmental stewardship in action.
