Krystyna Pyszková, originally from Třinec and winner of Miss Czech Republic 2022 and Miss World 2024, never actually dreamed of becoming a beauty queen. It was her sister who signed her up for the competition. Although she had some modeling experience, her main focus was always on studying law. In the end, however, she found her place in the pageant world and today uses her name to support meaningful projects.

After winning, she had to put her studies on hold and fully commit to a demanding schedule of travels and events. She also dedicated time to charity work — continuing her efforts in Tanzania where she helped open a school — and in 2023 she established her own foundation, the Pyszko Foundation.

One of the foundation’s key initiatives is a mobile app Money Monsters, designed to increase financial literacy in the Czech Republic through a fun and engaging approach. The app addresses a concerning reality: most Czechs still struggle to navigate personal finances, with low-income individuals and women among the most affected groups.

“For me personally, this is a very important topic. I only really understood it after finishing school and entering real life. I never actually learned about financial literacy,” says Pyszková.

Developed in partnership with the foundation’s team, the tech studio STRV, and the educational organization Young Enterprise, the app uses gamification — users complete tasks, earn points, and learn through playful “money monster” characters. It’s set to launch in early 2026, accompanied by an educational tour of Czech schools.

Krystyna sees Money Monsters as a tool to help people understand money without fear or embarrassment. The goal isn’t to memorize facts but to inspire independence and a healthy relationship with finances.

“This will definitely be challenging, but I’ve always enjoyed challenges and love overcoming them,” Pyszková adds, speaking about the project she and her team have been working on for months.
