The fifth edition of the art competition for people with disabilities breaks records once again!
Creativity for Everyone: A Celebration of Art Without Boundaries
The fifth edition of the art competition Everyone Can Be an Artist once again demonstrated that creativity knows no limits. This year, nearly 300 artists with intellectual disabilities from the Czech and Slovak Republics participated, submitting a total of 244 artworks full of courage, color, and emotion. The youngest participant is just 5 years old, while the oldest is 81.
Organized by the Domov Sulická Foundation, the competition aims to promote inclusion, provide a space for self-expression, and offer these artists the visibility and recognition they deserve. For many, painting is not only a joy but also a form of therapy or a means of communication.
From September 12 to 21, 2025, 190 selected works will be exhibited at Museum Kampa in Prague. Among them will be a collaborative piece titled Aquarium, created by Miss World Krystyna Pyszková together with Mrs. Stanislava, a client of Domov Sulická. The painting will symbolize connection and creative solidarity.
The exhibition will traditionally conclude with a charity auction on October 6 on the Livebid.cz platform. All proceeds from the auction will go directly to the individual artists to support their further artistic endeavors.
The project is held under the patronage of Eva Pavlová, wife of the President of the Czech Republic, and supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, the City of Prague, and other partners including the Krystyna Pyszková Foundation and the Jan and Meda Mládek Foundation – Museum Kampa.
